TidyMonth works remotely with businesses across the Philadelphia area, from Center City and Fishtown out to the Main Line, Bucks, Chester County, and South Jersey. Everything happens by phone, by email, and in your reports, so there is no office visit to schedule and nobody to buzz into the building.

Who this is built for

Service businesses that sell their people’s time, not inventory.

Independent consultants and coaches

One person billing project or retainer work, usually with a business checking account, a card, and a payment processor.

Marketing, design, and development agencies

A small team, contractors to pay, and client invoices that need to line up with what actually landed in the bank.

IT services and technical shops

Recurring support contracts, hardware pass-through, and software subscriptions that need to be sorted rather than lumped together.

The scope, in plain terms

$199 a month covers a US business on a cash basis, with one entity, transactions in US dollars, up to six bank and card accounts, and up to 300 transactions a month. Inventory, job costing, multiple entities, and multiple currencies are outside this service. Tax filing is separate: we prepare the year-end bookkeeping package your accountant works from. If your books need something different, we will say so before you commit.

$199 a month, and the catch-up number before you commit

Most firms in this city will tell you the price after a meeting. Here it is first. Monthly bookkeeping is $199. If there is a backlog, the catch-up work is quoted as a fixed price, in writing, after a person has looked at the records. These are the starting figures that quote is built from, not a quote themselves.

Starting figures cover up to three accounts. Paid catch-up work involving four to six accounts needs a reviewed quote, as does anything beyond twelve months or 300 transactions a month. Nothing is charged until you approve the quote. Full detail is on the pricing page.

The Tidy Close

The same five steps every month, so you always know where the books stand.

1

Gather

We collect the statements and records needed for the accounts and months we agree to handle.

2

Categorize

We categorize transactions and ask for context or receipts when the records do not tell the whole story.

3

Reconcile

We compare your books with account statements and investigate differences. Unresolved items stay visible.

4

Review

A bookkeeper reviews the reconciliations and exceptions before approving the close.

5

Deliver

You receive the monthly reports, supporting records, and a clear list of anything still open.

Your accountant gets something they can work from

When your accountant asks for records, you have a place to start: reports, reconciliations, and the supporting detail from the months we have completed. Any open questions travel with the package, so they know what still needs review instead of finding out in April. If you do not have an accountant yet, the same package is what a new one will ask for.

TidyMonth is the service. Prosper is the software we use to do the work, and it is where you answer questions and see your reports. Your ledger and financial reports are yours to export at any time.

If the first close is not worth it, you get that month back

If your first Tidy Close is not worth it, your first monthly payment of $199 is refunded in full. No questions asked. Contact us within 30 days of your first close. Completed catch-up work is not covered by this refund.
